Three we are known for

The Pale
Three hops, all late-added, on a Maris Otter base. 4.2% and the one we sell most of, which suits us: it is the hardest to get right.
  • Grapefruit, pine, a dry finish
  • Brewed every fortnight, year round
  • Cask, keg and 440ml cans
Find it on tap
The Lager
Decoction mashed and cold-conditioned for thirty-eight days, because thirty-eight is when it stops tasting of anything but lager.
  • Pilsner malt, one noble hop
  • Thirty-eight days cold
  • Keg and 330ml bottles
Read the brew sheet
The Dark
Roasted barley and chocolate malt with no sweetness at all. On from October, off when the weather turns.
  • Roast, cocoa, a long dry finish
  • October to March only
  • Cask and 440ml cans

Questions

Before you order

Do you deliver?
Within sixty miles, on our own van, Tuesdays and Fridays. Beyond that we use a pallet courier and the beer is pasteurised, which we would rather you knew.
Can we get it on cask?
Yes for the Pale, Bitter and Dark. The Lager is bottle and keg only - cask conditioning would undo the thirty-eight days.
Do you do own-label?
No. We have tried twice and both times ended up brewing somebody else's compromise.
Is the Harvest Ale the same every year?
No, and that is the point. Same day of the harvest, whatever the hops did that season. Some years are better.
