We have turned down more work than we have taken
A firm this size can take on anything if it is willing to be mediocre at most of it. We decided early that we would rather be the obvious choice for four things than an option for forty.
That has cost us real revenue and it is the reason clients stay. If you ask us for something we are not good at, we will tell you who is.

Two people and a spare room
A payroll bureau for eleven clients.

First systems work
A migration nobody else would quote for. It went well.

Second office
Opened because a client moved, not because of a plan.

Built after three clients asked the same question in one quarter.

Employee ownership
The founders sold to a trust rather than to a consolidator.
