Around the campus

Six places worth seeing before you decide.
01 - The library
Open until midnight in term, and twenty-four hours in the four weeks before examinations. Four hundred study spaces, ninety of them bookable, and a silent floor that is genuinely silent.
02 - Laboratories
Eleven teaching laboratories, refitted in 2023. Undergraduates use the same equipment as the research groups, from the first term rather than the third year.
03 - The studios
Photography, print, and a workshop with a technician in it whenever the building is open. Access is by induction, not by booking, so you can work when you want to.
04 - Sport
A sports hall, a gym included in your fees, and thirty clubs that will take a complete beginner. Nobody is asked how good they are.
05 - Residences
Nine hundred rooms, all within a twelve-minute walk. Guaranteed for first-year students who apply by the deadline, and priced in one figure with bills included.
06 - Student support
Advisers for money, housing, disability and mental health, in one building, with appointments inside a week. Drop-in every weekday afternoon.

Before you apply

Do I need the exact entry grades?
They are guidance, not a barrier. Every application is read by a person, and roughly a fifth of our offers go to applicants who missed the published grades.
Can I study part time?
Most programmes, yes, over a longer period at the same total fee. Laboratory-heavy programmes cannot, and it says so on their page.
Is accommodation guaranteed?
For first-year students who apply by the deadline, yes. Nine hundred rooms, all within a twelve-minute walk, priced with bills included.
What if I change my mind after enrolling?
You can withdraw inside the first three weeks with a full refund and no mark on your record.
Can my employer be invoiced?
Yes. Ask at the point of application and an invoice is issued in your organisation's name.

Come and see it first

Open days run monthly and you do not need to book. Bring somebody with you.
